Having returned to India, Virat Kohli is making his first public appearance after the arrival of his son Akaay.
Virat Kohli, an Indian cricket legend who took a long hiatus from the game during the national team’s 5-match Test series against England, has returned to cricketing duties. Kohli, who stayed away from cricket to be with his wife Anushka Sharma in the final months of her pregnancy, has announced the birth of their son Akaay. Following Akaay’s birth, Kohli continued to neglect his cricketing commitments, although he has returned ahead of the commencement of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 season.
Virat was seen at the airport as he returned to India to join his franchise, Royal Challengers Bangalore. According to previous reports, the top-order batsman is expected to join his teammates in Bengaluru for the RCB ‘Unbox’ event. The event is slated for March 19 in Bengaluru.
“Kohli is expected to join within the next few days,” a BCCI insider who monitors IPL team developments told sources.
Kohli might make his debut appearance for the team at ‘RCB Unbox’, a high-profile yearly event held in the Garden City where fans can catch a peek of their favourite players.
