India skipper Harmanpreet Kaur on Tuesday rose four spots to take the fifth position in the ICC Women’s ODI Player Rankings, riding the momentum of her great performance against England.
She is the star of a group of Indian athletes who have surged in the rankings as a result of the team’s 3-0 victory over England.
In the second game in Canterbury, Kaur batted 143 not out off 111 deliveries to win the match.
In the most recent update, which takes into account performances in the final two games of that series as well as the IWC series between the West Indies and New Zealand, opener Smriti Mandhana and Deepti Sharma have both advanced.
