Virat Kohli played in the simulated match versus India A at WACA and scored 15 and 30 not out in his two appearances.
Virat Kohli only scored 15 runs during his brief 15–20 minute maiden appearance in the match simulation at WACA before being dismissed by Mukesh Kumar. After KL Rahul exited the field because of an elbow injury, Kohli moved into the middle. Shubman Gill and Kohli were left in the middle after Yashasvi Jaiswal, India’s second opening batsman, also left early. Even though Kohli appeared eager to use some of his signature drives, the bounce the WACA pitch produced from most areas prevented him from being successful every time.Navdeep Saini, Prasidh Krishna, Nitish Kumar Reddy, and Mukesh Kumar were among the bowlers that Kohli faced. Being the oldest player on the team, Virat is expected to lead India’s batting unit since Rohit Sharma is also probably going to miss the match in Perth.
