In the third Test between the two teams, which took place in Rajkot on Sunday, India trounced the England cricket team by 434 runs, recording their largest victory margin in the longest version of the game. The 372-run victory India earned over New Zealand at the Wankhede in 2021 was the team’s previous greatest margin of victory in a Test match.

India’s victory over England was based on a strong team effort, as the batting unit amassed totals of 400 or more in each of the two innings. In the last innings, the Indian bowlers were at their most lethal, dismissing Ben Stokes’ team for 122 runs.
Yashasvi Jaiswal the star of the match, breaking numerous records with the bat as he got his second double hundred of the Test match in the Indian second innings.
The captain of team India, Rohit Sharma, and all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja had earlier laid the foundation with hundreds in the first innings. Jadeja took a fifer in the final innings to go along with his ton, the second time he has done both in a single Test. Mohammed Siraj and Kuldeep Yadav were the pick of the bowlers for India in the first innings, with the former claiming four wickets.
