Pratika Rawal became only the second Indian woman after Mithali Raj to score five consecutive fifty-plus scores in ODIs, achieving the milestone against South Africa in Colombo on Tuesday.
Pratika Rawal opened the innings and reached fifty in 58 balls, finishing with a six. She went on to score 78 from 91 deliveries, including seven fours and a six.
The 24-year-old began her run earlier this year in Rajkot with an 89 against Ireland, followed by 67 and a career-best 154 in the same series. Her undefeated 50 against Sri Lanka in the ongoing Tri-Nation series extended her streak.
Rawal has made a fantastic start to her international career, scoring six fifty-plus runs, including a century, in her eight ODI innings since debuting in December 2024 against the West Indies in Vadodara.
