Before the release of his biopic 800, legendary Sri Lankan spinner Muttiah Muralitharan picked his favorites for the World Cup and also shed light on the conditions in the subcontinent.

The biopic 800 by Sri Lankan spinner Muttiah Muralitharan is gearing up for release on October 6, and in a recent interview on Thursday, he revealed his excitement about the film. Also, the legendary Sri Lankan spinner makes his semi-final picks for the upcoming ICC Cricket World Cup 2023.
In the interview, when he was asked about his top four picks for the World Cup 2023, he said, “So, I would say India, England, Australia, and the fourth team can be anyone. These three have more chances. But you never know; cricket is all about luck. As seen in the last World Cup, we thought that New Zealand would win and England would win the trophy, with luck favoring them.
He further added that “the teams from the subcontinent will get an advantage because of the spin-friendly wickets, and their batters are used to playing spin.
While talking about his biopic, Muralitharan said that he is quite excited for it and wants people to see the struggle he faced in life and how he overcame it.
