India won the fifth T20 by an overwhelming 150 runs on Sunday thanks to Abhishek Sharma, who hit England for 13 sixes and a hundred off of 37 balls before grabbing two wickets in his lone over.
After losing the toss, India amassed 247-9 in 20 overs, with Sharma hitting a record individual T20 total of 135 runs off 54 balls. India won the five-match series 4-1 when England faltered in response to 97 all out in 10.3 overs.
With 57 balls remaining, England was all out after Sharma’s burst of sixes and seven fours lit up the Mumbai skyline.
Shivam Dube received 2-11, while mystery spinner Varun Chakravarthy took 2-25 for India. In his single over, Sharma took two and three.
