With a 16-run victory in the second game on Sunday, India won their first ever Twenty20 series at home against South Africa despite David Miller’s undefeated 106.
In Guwahati, where India was given the opportunity to bat first, Suryakumar Yadav hammered 61 off 22 balls and had a crucial 102-run stand with Virat Kohli, who hit 49 not out. This helped India reach 237-3.
In reply, South Africa finished on 221-3 after a threatening 174-run unbeaten stand between Miller and Quinton De Kock (69) as the hosts took an unbeatable 2-0 lead in the three-match series.
