On Sunday, India bowled out England for 68 in the first-ever ICC U-19 Women’s T20 World Cup final. After England’s batting faltered yet again in a crucial game, the women in blue already have one hand on the trophy.
Titas Sadhu struck early, dismissing the in-form Liberty Heap in the first over, and off-spinner Archana Devi also bowled well to dent England early on. As the England batting lineup had no answers, the rest of the bowlers chipped in with regular breakthroughs.
India, which was chasing a meagre 69, lost Shafali Verman and Shweta Sehrawat early on. However, G Trisha and Soumya Tiwari formed a strong partnership to lead India home.
