The Indian hockey team performed admirably to defeat South Korea 9-1 and advance to Wednesday’s Junior Asia Cup final in Oman.

The Indian hockey team outclassed South Korea 9-1 and advanced to Wednesday’s Junior Asia Cup final in Oman thanks to a commanding performance. India will compete for the championship on Thursday against the victor of the second semifinal between Malaysia and Pakistan. At the Salalah Sports Complex, Dhami Boby Singh, who led the way for India with a hat-trick, was named Player of the Match.

Lakra Sunit’s goal in the 13th minute gave India the lead before Dhami’s goals in the 31st, 39th, and 55th minutes.

Before Dhami entered the game, Hundal Araijeet Singh extended the advantage in the 19th minute.

By the end of the third quarter, India had a 6-0 lead in what was turning out to be a completely one-sided game thanks to goals by Angad Bir Singh and Uttam Singh in the 34th and 38th minutes, respectively.

Keonyeol Hwang scored the lone goal for the Koreans in the 46th minute, and the Indian juggernaut kept going for the remainder of the game.
