The stage is prepared for the third Twenty20 International (T20I) match between Ireland (IRE) and India (IND) during India’s current tour of Ireland in 2023. The match will be held at Dublin’s gorgeous Malahide Cricket Club Ground. Cricket fans can expect an intriguing match as both teams strive to make their mark. India already has a 2-0 lead in the series, having won the second T20I by a margin of 33 runs. In that encounter, India scored 185/5 in 20 overs, led by a 71-run partnership between Ruturaj Gaikwad and Sanju Samson. The highlight was Gaikwad’s 58-run knock, which was complemented by a critical 55-run stand at the finish from Rinku Singh and Shivam Dube.Ireland’s best bowler was Barry McCarthy, who took two wickets.

Ireland’s response saw early difficulties as its captain, Paul Stirling, was sacked by Prasidh Krishna for no reason at all. Despite reaching 72 runs off of 51 balls, Andy Balbirnie had a strong innings but received no help from the other end. In their 20 overs, Ireland could only muster 152/8 despite Balbirnie’s best efforts. With two wickets apiece from Jasprit Bumrah, Prasidh Krishna, and Ravi Bishnoi, the Indian bowling assault demonstrated its strength.

India may choose to rotate their starting XI now that the series is assured, providing bench players more chances. Ireland, on the other hand, will look to build on their past two games and attempt a comeback in the third Twenty20 international.

Pitch Report: Malahide Cricket Ground’s pitch has shown to be batting-friendly, giving runs to hitters who can take advantage of its genuine bounce and carry. On the other hand, pacers might benefit from some early movement. In order to allow teams to put a competitive total on the board, it may be best to bat first.
