The ongoing ODI series against the West Indies (WI) has seen a lot of experimentation from head coach Rahul Dravid and Rohit Sharma, which has raised more concerns than it has provided answers. India’s batting performance in the two games has been below par. The tourists lost five wickets while chasing a meagre 115 in the first ODI, but they eventually succeeded. But in the second ODI, batting first, they were bowled for 181 and once again struggled with their batting. West Indies will be encouraged by their victory in the second ODI by six wickets, which enabled them to maintain the series. However, they would be aware that the Indians would come back strongly in the third game and that the hosts would have to play at the top of their game to counter that.

Pitch Report:At Tarouba’s Brian Lara Cricket Stadium, this will be the second men’s international game overall and the first men’s international one-day international. In a T20I match between India and West Indies that took place here in 2022, the away team prevailed by 68 runs after scoring 190 in the first innings. At this location, batters have not been favoured by the slow, low pitch. So, in the third ODI of the series, the hitters will have to work hard since making shots won’t be simple.
