IND W win by 9 wickets after packing TL W for 37 in 15.1 overs
The Indian bowlers steamrolled past the Thailand batters in the Women's Asia Cup 2022 match at Sylhet on Monday, packing them for a paltry 37 in 15.1 overs. In response India won the contest by 9 wickets, chasing the 38-run total in just 6 overs. Shafali Verma was the only batter dismissed after being caught at 8(6). Pooja scored an unbeaten 12(12), while Meghana scored 20(18). Earlier in the day it was Deepti Sharma, who provided India with an early breakthrough after stand-in skipper Smriti Mandhana opted to field. She scalped two wickets, while conceding 10 runs in her four overs quota. Apart from her Rana picked three wickets, while Gayakwad scalped two. Meghna Singh also picked one wicket as Thailand lost two wickets in the form of run-out.
