The second version of the Road Safety World Series (RSWS), which is set to be played from September 10 to October 1, 2022 in Kanpur, Raipur, Indore, and Dehradun, will be headed by retired cricket icon Sachin Tendulkar for the reigning champion India Legends.
The first round will be held in Kanpur, while the semifinals and championship game will be held in Raipur. The 22-day event is played primarily to raise awareness for road safety in the nation and around the world. The New Zealand Legends are the new team in this edition and will play alongside the Legends of India, Australia, Sri Lanka, the West Indies, South Africa, Bangladesh, and England during that time.
The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, the Ministry of Information & Technology, and the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports of the Government of India all support the Road Safety World Series (RSWS). According to a press statement from the organisers, Professional Management Group (PMG) is the event management partner, and 27th Sports, funded by US-based 27th Investments, is the league’s exclusive marketing rights holder.
The former BCCI president added that he is “very thrilled” to learn that luminaries from eight nations, including Australia, the West Indies, South Africa, England, New Zealand, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and the tournament’s hosts India, will take part in it.
