Five days before their opening match against Bangladesh, the Indian cricket team began its journey to Dubai, United Arab Emirates for the ICC Champions Trophy on Saturday when the first group of players and support personnel arrived at Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport.
Despite the fact that Pakistan, the reigning champions, is hosting the ninth edition of the “Mini World Cup,” India has refused to travel to their neighbor for security reasons, thus their matches have been transferred to Dubai. The all-rounders Ravindra Jadeja, Washington Sundar, wicketkeeper-batters Rishabh Pant and KL Rahul, spinners Kuldeep Yadav and Varun Chakravarthy, and star batsman Virat Kohli were among the important players seen at the airport.
Additionally included in the traveling team were pacers Arshdeep Singh and Harshit Rana, all-rounder Axar Patel, and middle-order batsman Shreyas Iyer. Hardik Pandya was the last player to join the team before departing, while captain Rohit Sharma also entered.
