Gianni Infantino, the head of FIFA, met with Kalyan Chaubey, the recently elected president of the AIFF, to discuss infrastructure, grassroots development, men’s and women’s football in India.
To personally congratulate Chaubey on his recent election as the All India Football Federation president, Infantino called a meeting (AIFF).
According to a news release from FIFA, the two talked about a wide range of topics relating to the growth of men’s, women’s, youth, and grassroots football in India.
With a heavy emphasis on infrastructure, grassroots football, and women’s football, Chaubey, a former professional football player himself, unveiled aggressive reform proposals after winning the presidency of the AIFF on September 2.
After the meeting, Chaubey thanked Infantino for his words of support and congratulated FIFA for its contribution to the global growth of football.
