While Rohit’s participation in the Ranji Trophy match remains uncertain, his decision to join the training session is seen as a positive sign following a disappointing performance in the recent Border-Gavaskar Trophy, where he averaged just 10.93 across five Tests. The MCA source indicated that Rohit has not yet confirmed his availability for the match but will inform them in due course.
Mumbai will conduct their practice at Wankhede Stadium and the Bandra-Kurla Complex over the next few days. The BCCI has emphasized the importance of players participating in domestic cricket, with coach Gautam Gambhir advocating for commitment to red-ball cricket.
