India’s cricket team captain is expected to visit Pakistan for the opening ceremony of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, which is scheduled for February 16 or 17. Although India will play its matches at neutral venues due to ongoing political tensions, participation in the ceremony reflects a commitment to international cricket protocols.
The tournament will kick off on February 19, with Pakistan facing New Zealand in Karachi. India will begin its campaign against Bangladesh on February 20 in Dubai. The format involves most matches being played in Pakistan, while all of India’s group games and the first semi-final will occur in Dubai. If India reaches the final, it will also be held there; otherwise, Lahore will host it.
The eight teams participating include Afghanistan, Australia, Bangladesh, England, India, New Zealand, South Africa, and hosts Pakistan. The anticipated India vs. Pakistan match is set for February 23 in Dubai
