LSG has qualified for the IPL playoffs in both of its seasons since its debut in 2022. However, it has twice been eliminated in the Eliminator.
He will be teaming up with head coach Justin Langer and fellow assistant coach S. Sriram.
Since the league’s founding in 2022, LSG has participated in two seasons and advanced to the IPL playoffs. Nevertheless, it has been eliminated in the Eliminator on both instances.
Klusener leads the LSG team in Durban, the Super Giants, which is based in South Africa.
The 52-year-old is a consulting coach for the domestic teams of Delhi and Tripura in addition to having trained teams all around the world.
In addition to working with the Delhi Capitals, he was the Mumbai Indians’ batting coach.
The South African helped the Guyana Amazon Warriors win the Caribbean Premier League for the first time last year.
In addition to coaching South Africa and Zimbabwe’s batsmen, he has led Afghanistan in international matches.
Between 1996 and 2004, Klusener played for South Africa in 49 Test matches and 171 One-Day Internationals.
LSG’s IPL 2024 campaign begins on March 24 in Jaipur against the 2008 champion Rajasthan Royals.
