Sridharan Sriram, a former Indian spinner, was named an assistant coach for the next Indian Premier League season by Lucknow Super Giants on Saturday.
On Saturday, the Lucknow Super Giants announced that former Indian spinner Sridharan Sriram would serve as an assistant coach for the next Indian Premier League season.
He would work with mentor Gautam Gambhir, head coach Justin Langer, assistant coach Vijay Dahiya, fast-bowling coach Morne Morkel, fielding coach Jonty Rhodes, and spin-bowling coach Pravin Tambe.
The Bangladesh men’s national T20 squad won two outstanding matches in the T-20 World Cup’s Super-12s during Sriram’s time with them.
He had previously spent six years, starting with 2016, working with the Australian men’s squad, which helped the side win the T20 World Cup and the Ashes in 2021–2022.
He served as the Royal Challengers Bangalore’s assistant coach in the IPL and was an expert in batting and spin bowling.
Sriram further attained the renowned title of ECB Level-3 “Head Coach” in 2008.
He played domestic cricket for Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Goa, Assam, and Himachal Pradesh in addition to eight ODI appearances for India.
