On Friday, December 23, later in Kochi, the mini-auction for the following season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) will take place. Only 405 of the 991 participants that registered for this year’s auction made the final list, comprising 273 Indian players and 132 foreign players. However, with a total prize pool of INR 183.15 crores, there are only 87 places available to the teams. The franchises were free to keep as many players as they wanted before the mini-acution. The teams will be able to upgrade their squads’ firepower through this mini-auction.
