The model had messaged Sharma on WhatsApp, but it had not received a response, according to a preliminary investigation.
A Surat police officer stated on Wednesday that the police probing the suspected suicide of model Tania Singh will serve cricketer Abhishek Sharma a notice. According to the preliminary investigation, the two were friends and she had sent him a message on WhatsApp chat that went unanswered. In the Vesu neighborhood of the city, Singh, 28, was discovered hanging from her apartment’s ceiling on Monday. Investigators claimed they did not find a suicide note.
Thus far, we have discovered that Abhishek Sharma had a friendship with the model who passed away. The probe will reveal more details,” Assistant Commissioner of Police VR Malhotra stated.
Sharma claimed that an initial inquiry showed that the model had messaged him on WhatsApp but that Sharma had not replied.
“We have not contacted Abhishek Sharma yet but we will send him a notice,” said the ACP.
He discussed the investigation and stated that the CDR (Call Detail Record) and IP Detail Record (IPDR) data of the model’s phone are being verified by the police.
“After verification, we may call the persons whose names come up during verification for recording their statements, if required,” the official said.
Sharma is an all-rounder who plays for Sunrisers Hyderabad in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
Singh had a decent fan base on social media platforms.
A case of accidental death has been filed at Vesu police station, and additional investigation is proceeding.
