Pakistan’s 12-match T20 World Cup preparation schedule includes this series against the United States and the West Indies.
Pakistan will play twelve matches in the United States and the West Indies leading up to the T20 World Cup. This series is a part of that preparation. On April 18, the first of five Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is) between New Zealand and Pakistan is played in Pakistan before the latter departs for Ireland.

April 27th is when the last game will happen. Pakistan’s four-match Twenty20 International visit of England will commence on May 22nd after that.

Prior to the hosts’ first-ever Test match in 2018, Pakistan paid a visit to Ireland. In a number of configurations, that was also the final meeting between the two teams.

Owing of the Covid-19 outbreak, Pakistan’s two Twenty20 International matches against Ireland in July 2020 in Dublin were canceled.

While Ireland did manage a historic first Test victory in Abu Dhabi to start the tour, they lost the ODI and T20I series against Afghanistan in the UAE earlier this month. Ireland will now play Pakistan in the Twenty20 Internationals.

Ahead of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in June, Pakistan and Ireland will square off against one another on June 16 in the competition’s opening Group Stage.
