Irfan Pathan, a former Indian all-rounder, stated on Sunday that other countries will be relieved that pacers Jasprit Bumrah and Harshal Patel won’t be competing in the Asia Cup in 2022.
Due to injuries, India’s top pacers Jasprit Bumrah and Harshal Patel were not available for selection in the Asia Cup 2022. At the NCA in Bengaluru, they are now receiving rehabilitation.
Bumrah and Harshal not competing in the Asia Cup is a relief for other teams, tweeted Pathan.
In T20I cricket this year, Harshal Patel has taken 19 wickets for India, placing him second behind veteran Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who has taken 20. This year, Bumrah has only participated in three T20Is, during which he has claimed three wickets.
This tweet follows one from renowned Pakistani bowler Waqar Younis, who claimed that the Indian top-order will be relieved by the injury to great Pakistani pacer Shaheen Afridi.
