Ishan Kishan was asked to sign a phone by a fan. As Kishan prepared to sign, he noticed that the phone’s back had MS Dhoni’s autograph.
On December 10 in Chattogram, Bangladesh, Ishan Kishan physically stumped the cricket world by scoring 210 off just 131 balls while smashing 24 fours and 10 sixes. As India posted a total of 409/9 in 50 overs after being called into bat, he had a 290-run partnership for the second wicket with Virat Kohli, who also got his 72nd international century. India ended up winning by 227 runs. A world record was set by Kishan as he hit the double tonne milestone in just 126 balls. The 24-year-old batsman also became the fourth Indian to reach two hundred runs in ODIs.
“There is Mahi Bhai’s signature and he is asking me to sign above it. I will not be able to do it. Why do you want me to sign here? I will sign on some other thing,” he told the fan. Upon further insistence, Kishan said: “It is Mahi bhai’s signature, how can I sign above that? We have not reached that stage.” Ultimately, Kishan signed below Dhoni’s autograph.
