Jasprit Bumrah has yet to be cleared by the NCA.
Jasprit Bumrah, India’s pace spearhead, is currently undergoing match-simulation workloads at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru. Bumrah is preparing for his long-awaited return to competitive cricket, and he is expected to play for the Mumbai Indians in the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL).
The ace pacer hasn’t played competitive cricket since September 2022 due to a back injury. Bumrah played against Australia at home in September, but despite being named to the squad, he was ruled out of the South Africa series and the T20 World Cup 2022 in Australia.
Since then, the bowler has been sidelined and has yet to be cleared by the NCA. Bumrah is currently undergoing match-stimulation workloads at Bangalore’s Chinnaswamy Stadium in order to acclimatise to the game and obtain the NCA’s green signal.
