Despite his injury troubles, Josh Hazlewood has been found fit and named to Australia’s World Cup roster.

Despite recent injury worries, Josh Hazlewood was named to Australia’s final 15-man roster for next week’s World Test Championship final, according to the International Cricket Council (ICC). The paceman ended his Indian Premier League (IPL) campaign earlier this month due to “minor side soreness,” but Cricket Australia had deemed him fit for the winner-take-all test at The Oval in London, which begins on June 7.

The 32-year-old joins skipper Pat Cummins, Scott Boland, and Mitchell Starc as the squad’s specialist fast bowlers, with all-rounder Mitch Marsh and batter Matthew Renshaw missing out. After wicket-keeper batsman KL Rahul withdrew with a right leg injury, he was replaced by uncapped Ishan Kishan, India has confirmed the 15 players they named three weeks ago.

After a good IPL campaign, uncapped opener Yashasvi Jaiswal was picked to India’s backup squad with Mukesh Kumar and Suryakumar Yadav. Only with the agreement of the ICC technical committee may standby players now replace an injured player in the team.

Following the final, in which both teams will be vying for their first championship, Australia will play England in the Ashes series, with the first test beginning on June 16 at Edgbaston.

Squads:

Australia – Pat Cummins (captain), Scott Boland, Alex Carey, Cameron Green, Marcus Harris, Josh Hazlewood, Travis Head, Josh Inglis, Usman Khawaja, Marnus Labuschagne, Nathan Lyon, Todd Murphy, Steve Smith, Mitchell Starc, David Warner

India – Rohit Sharma (captain), Shubman Gill, Cheteshwar Pujara, Virat Kohli, Ajinkya Rahane, KS Bharat, Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel, Shardul Thakur, Mohammed Shami, Mohammed Siraj, Umesh Yadav, Jaydev Unadkat, Ishan Kishan
