The most recent information regarding IPL 2025 suggests that Sunrisers Hyderabad, the team who finished last in IPL 2024, intend to let go of their top bowler Umran Malik before the next season.
Umran, who gained notoriety for his quickness, made his Men in Orange debut in 2021. In order to develop the right-arm seamer into a future bowling sensation, SRH paid 4 crores to retain him the next season.The Jammu-Express only participated in one game in 2024, though, as Umran’s play deteriorated. When considering Malik’s IPL career, he took two wickets in three games while playing for the SRH in 2021. With 14 games played and 22 wickets taken, 2022 was his best year. But his collapse started in 2023, and he has only played in nine games over the past two seasons.
Before the IPL 2025 auction, SRH will be able to release Umran, freeing up four crore. Additionally, rumors are circulating that BCCI may raise the pay cap for the IPL 2025 from the current 90 crores to 120 crores.
