According to former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag, KL Rahul is far more likely than Sanju Samson to become a member of the national squad.
On Wednesday, April 19, a top-of-the-table matchup between Rajasthan Royals and Lucknow Super Giants is scheduled for the Indian Premier League. The match between Sanju Samson and KL Rahul, two highly anticipated Indian talents who haven’t seemed to live up to their promise with the Indian cricket team recently, is scheduled to take place at Jaipur’s Sawai Mansingh Stadium. Rahul is a seasoned batsman for India, however recently, especially while competing in ICC competitions, his performance has been well below average. While Rahul’s T20I strategy has drawn criticism, his ODI and Test performances haven’t exactly been stellar.
Samson, on the other hand, has performed admirably in ODIs during his limited time with the Indian team but has struggled in the T20 format. Virender Sehwag defended KL Rahul and asserted that Rahul is a much better player for India than Sanju Samson in a pregame interview.
“If you’re talking about making a name for yourself on the Indian squad, KL Rahul is way superior to Sanju Samson, in my opinion. In several nations, he has scored hundreds of points while playing Test matches. Sehwag noted in a Cricbuzz programme prior to the game, “He has played effectively in ODIs, both as an opener and in the middle order, and has also scored runs in T20 cricket.
