KL Rahul’s Major Remark Regarding Shubman Gill Following A Bad Performance: “It’s About Time That…”

KL Rahul encouraged teammate Shubman Gill to score big after being bowled cheaply on Day 2 of the first Test against England.

KL Rahul, an Indian cricket player, backed colleague Shubman Gill to score big after being dismissed cheaply on Day 2 of the first Test against England on Friday. Gill attempted to score quickly but ended up losing his wicket to Tom Hartley after only 23 runs. However, Rahul emphasized that Gill is a top-class cricketer who can play spin well, and that this could happen to any batsman. Gill has been given the No. 3 batting slot with Yashasvi Jaiswal opening alongside Rohit Sharma, but his performance in the new position has been subpar in recent matches.

“He (Gill) is an elite cricketer. He is an excellent spin player. We’ve seen that in white ball cricket. It’s about time he learned from it,” Rahul stated on Jio Cinema.

“I mean, you know, I’m sure he didn’t want to put himself in a position where he had to go over the top or play a shot just to be free. But it happens to all hitters. And I’m sure he’s already planning what he’ll do in the next one,” the Indian star added.

Ravindra Jadeja’s two-layered fifty and KL Rahul’s mastery powered India to 421 for seven, putting them several miles ahead of England after the second day of the first Test.

Jadeja (81 batting) and Axar Patel (35 batting), who contributed 63 runs to the unbroken eighth-wicket stand, are at stumps.

India’s lead has now grown to 175 runs, and England will find it difficult to close that gap once their turn to play arrives on the third day.
