Kylian Mbappe is now the Ligue 1’s leading scorer this season, with 17 goals in 29 games in all competitions since the season began.
Kylian Mbappe scored twice in Paris Saint-3-0 Germain’s win over Ligue 1 title rivals Marseille on Sunday to reach 200 goals for the club and become the club’s joint all-time leading scorer. Mbappe scored both of his goals at the Velodrome, and he set up the Argentine for PSG’s other goal, as PSG moved eight points clear at the top of the table. It was a result and a performance that will dispel many doubts about a team that had been stuttering in recent weeks, outclassing their most credible domestic rivals.
Mbappe’s brace brought him to a century of goals for PSG in less than 250 appearances since joining from Monaco in 2017.
As a result, the 24-year-old has surpassed his former teammate Edinson Cavani as the club’s all-time leading scorer.
“He is obviously fast, but it’s not just his legs — the speed with which he does things is extraordinary,” PSG coach Christophe Galtier said.
