During the IPL 2024 match between the Mumbai Indians and the Lucknow Super Giants, Australian cricket player Marcus Stoinis responded cheekily to Arjun Tendulkar’s violent gesture.

Australian cricket player Marcus Stoinis responded cheekily to Arjun Tendulkar’s aggressive gesture during Friday’s IPL 2024 match between the Mumbai Indians and the Lucknow Super Giants. In the LSG innings’ second over, Arjun trapped Stoinis LBW, but the third umpire reversed the call. Stoinis smashed the first ball of the over straight back to Arjun, who grabbed it brashly and acted as like he was going to toss it to itself. In response, Stoinis gave the young fast bowler a mischievous look and yelled something.

Coming into the match, Nicholas Pooran scored another spectacular innings, while Ravi Bishnoi and Naveen-ul-Haq each claimed two wickets as LSG overcame MI by 18 runs.
“It is quite challenging. Did not play high-quality cricket, which cost us the entire season. It’s a professional environment. We must always present ourselves in the best light possible. However, as a group, we were unable to play quality or clever cricket. It’s too early to pinpoint what went wrong. The entire season was somewhat disastrous. MI captain Hardik Pandya remarked, “We can dismiss this game as another one that went wrong.”

According to the results, LSG is currently sixth in the points table, while MI finished last.

“It’s been a difficult season for us; it’s fantastic to earn a win and finish on a positive note. The ultimate goal was to make the playoffs and give it a try; nonetheless, finishing the season on a positive note is satisfying. Fielding is tied to fitness, and any hard work reflects that. [On his final fielding effort] I went for it and saved it,” Krunal Pandya said after the game.
