In the second round of the Wimbledon men’s doubles, Rohan Bopanna and his Australian partner Matthew Edben were eliminated in a straight set.

In London on Saturday, Rohan Bopanna and his Australian partner Matthew Edben were eliminated from the Wimbledon men’s doubles second round after losing in straight sets to Hendrick Jebens and Constantin Frantzen. In just over an hour, the second-seeded Bopanna and Ebden lost 3-6, 6-7 (4) to their unseeded German opponents. Bopanna and Ebden, the victors of the Australian Open, gave up a break in the opening set, which was sufficient for Jebens and Frantzen to take the lead in the match.

Rain caused the match to be stopped when the second set was tied at five games. The set did not have a service break. The match moved into a tie-breaker once it was resumed, and Jebens Frantzen quickly built a comfortable 4-1 lead that they never let slip.
