After chasing 206, DC lost their final three wickets as they were run out in a single over, being swept out for 193. Earlier, MI made 205 for 5 after being invited to bat first, and Tilak Varma scored a tough fifty. Tilak used six fours and three sixes to smash 59 off 33 balls. MI was also aided by Ryan Rickelton (41), Suryakumar Yadav (40), and Naman Dhir (38 not out). Kuldeep Yadav was the best bowler for Delhi, taking two wickets for twenty-three in four overs.The spin combination of Mitchell Santner (2 for 43) and Karn Sharma (3 for 36) rallied MI in the second innings. The Hardik Pandya-led team narrowly prevailed thanks in part to the poor running of the DC hitters in the 19th over.
