The Polly Umrigar Award went to Mohammed Shami, Ravichandran Ashwin, Shubman Gill, and Jasprit Bumrah, the four standout cricketers from India.

The Polly Umrigar Award, which is given to the Best International Cricketer in the Men’s Category for the years 2019–20, 2020–21, 2021–22, and 2022–23, respectively, was won by India’s top cricketers, Mohammed Shami, Ravichandran Ashwin, Jasprit Bumrah, and Shubman Gill on Tuesday during the Naman Awards. In the 2019–20 season, Shami was unbeatable, taking 77 wickets in 30 matches with an economy of 4.06 and an average of 19.81. In the year 5/35, he had the greatest bowling numbers in a match in Visakhapatnam against South Africa.Shami, who was thrilled to get the prize, stated, “I have mostly been wounded when I have played for my nation. I enjoy playing with the team, and if the team needs me in any condition, I am ready to play.

The following season, Ashwin continued to dominate. Despite making just seven appearances, he claimed 44 wickets, his highest bowling average of 6/61 coming against England in Chennai.

At 490 wickets, the seasoned all-rounder is on the verge of reaching 500 Test wickets. He may reach the landmark in the match against England, but he isn’t thinking about the score.

“No, not really; however, early in my career, it was.” For me, it’s all about having fun when you stay true to the bigger picture and process,” Ashwin remarked at the occasion.

For the 2021–22 season, Jasprit Bumrah—who never appears to lose his groove—was named the finest cricket player.

He took 35 wickets at an economy of 3.27 in his 15 outings; his best bowling stat was 5/24 against Sri Lanka in Bengaluru.

Ultimately, Shubman Gill scored 1325 runs in 25 games, his greatest score of 208 coming in the ODI match against New Zealand.

Gill scored with a strike rate of 94.23 and averaged 53.00 in 2022–2023. In addition, he added two half-centuries and six centuries to his cat.

Former Indian cricket players Ravi Shastri and Farokh Engineer received the esteemed Col CK Nayudu Lifetime Achievement Award earlier in the program.

Shastri and Farokh were honored with the prize by BCCI Secretary Jay Shah and BCCI President Roger Binny.

Jaydev Unadkat, Mayank Agarwal, and Sarfaraz Khan, among others, received recognition for their outstanding achievements in domestic cricket.

Unadkat, Shams Mulani, and Jalaj Saxena won the Madhavrao Scindia award for the best wicket-takers during the 2019–20, 2021–22, and 2022–23 seasons, respectively.

Regarding batting achievement, Mayank, Sarfaraz, and Rahul Dalal won the awards for the years 2019–20, 2021–22, and 2022–23, respectively.
