New Delhi, India – In a recent interview, Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli opened up about his personal life and the support he has received from his fellow cricketers. Kohli revealed that the only person who has truly reached out to him during difficult times has been former captain MS Dhoni.
Kohli, who is known for his aggressive on-field persona, admitted that he can be quite closed off and reserved when it comes to his personal life. However, he acknowledged that Dhoni has been a constant source of support and guidance for him.
“The only person who genuinely reached out to me when I was going through a tough time was MS Dhoni. He didn’t have to do that, but he did. That’s why he has always been a special person in my life,” Kohli said in the interview.
The 32-year-old Kohli also spoke about the bond he shares with his teammates and how they have helped him grow as a person.
“I have been fortunate to have a great bunch of guys around me. We all have our own ways of dealing with things, but we all look out for each other. That’s what makes this team special,” he added.
Kohli has been one of India’s most successful captains, leading the team to numerous victories across formats. He is widely regarded as one of the best batsmen in the world and has broken numerous records over the course of his career.
