Bangladesh speed bowler Mustafizur Rahman will be eligible for the Chennai Super Kings’ match against Punjab Kings on May 1, after the Bangladesh Cricket Board extended his leave for one additional day for the present Indian Premier League. The left-armer has had a strong start to his CSK career, taking 10 wickets in five matches.
BCB had previously awarded Mustafizur a No-objection certificate for the IPL until April 30, but the board has now allowed him to continue on for one more day to play in one more game for his team.”Mustafizur was originally scheduled to return after April 30, but we’ve given him permission to stay for their May 1st encounter instead. We want to rest him for a few days before the World Cup, so we are not ready to release him once he is slated to arrive on May 2 for the T20 series against Zimbabwe (which runs from May 3 to May 12).” A BCB official confirmed the situation to Cricbuzz on Monday.
Bangladesh will play the USA in a three-match Twenty20 International series from May 21–25 in order to get acclimated to their conditions. At the main event, they have two of their four group stage matches in that nation. Only one Twenty20 International (T20I) match between Bangladesh and the West Indies was held in Florida in 2018.
