The Pakistan Cricket Board announced on Thursday that fast bowler Naseem Shah had tested positive for Covid-19 and will now miss the final two Twenty20 matches against England.
Following a pneumonia diagnosis, Shah was released from the hospital on Thursday, and the PCB reported that the fast bowler was doing much better.
The PCB released a statement saying, “Shah is back in the team hotel where he will follow all COVID-19 protocols.”
Pakistan is scheduled to go to New Zealand the following Monday to take part in a triangular T20I series against Bangladesh. If the fast bowler would travel with the team to New Zealand was unclear from the PCB.
