The ODI World Cup 2023 team for the Netherlands cricket team has been revealed.
Roelof van der Merwe and Colin Ackermann, a seasoned combo, have been called up and included in the Netherlands’ 15-player roster for the ICC ODI Men’s Cricket World Cup. They weren’t both a part of the team that finished second in the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Qualifier earlier this year, earning them a spot in the 2023 World Cup. however, they were included to the roster of 15 competitors who would compete during a six-week period in India in October and November.
Both of them will add a wealth of experience to a Netherlands team that Scott Edwards will lead once more. Scott Edwards was a standout at the 2017 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup in Australia.
Ackermann was the Netherlands’ second-leading run scorer at the competition, and van der Merwe had some useful cameos with the bat, the ball and the pitch. While star all-rounder Bas de Leede is anticipated to play a significant role with both the bat and the ball, the Netherlands will be hoping that opening hitter Max O’Dowd can contribute a lot of runs throughout the tournament.
The opener match of team Netherlands at the World Cup 2023 will be played against Pakistan in Hyderabad on October 6.
