New Zealand Tour of England 2023: schedule, squads, match timings, venue, where to watch

Beginning on August 30, 2023, New Zealand will tour England to take part in a four-match T20I and four-match ODI series. On September 15, the fourth and final One-Day International of the tour will be played.

In March of this year, England played their most recent ODI series in Bangladesh. A fantastic showing from Adil Rashid helped them win the series 2-1. In the T20I series, the hosts had however whitewashed England 3-0.

The latest 5-match ODI series between Pakistan and New Zealand, on the other hand, ended in a 4-1 loss for Pakistan. But thanks to Mark Chapman’s outstanding effort, the visitors prevailed in the T20I series 2-1.

While still being a member of the England team, Ben Stokes has renounced his ambitions to retire. It will be intriguing to watch him adjust to the 50-over format.

The return of Ben Stokes only strengthens that trait with his capacity for match-winning and leadership, according to England Men’s National Selector Luke Wright. Every fan will relish seeing him back in an England ODI shirt again, I’m sure of it.

Trent Boult, New Zealand’s seasoned bowler, has also returned to the team. New Zealand is a difficult team to defeat because Kyle Jamieson has recovered well and is back in the lineup.

The head coach of the New Zealand cricket team, Gary Stead, stated, “We’re happy to have Kyle in this group in addition to his earlier selection for the T20 squads to face the UAE and England. We are eager to see him back playing on the international scene after he put in a lot of effort into his recovery after back surgery. As Trent prepares to get ready for the World Cup in India, it’s wonderful to have him back in our ODI team.
