after making sharp remarks about Babar Azam: Reports
Actor Nazish Jahangir from Pakistan received trolling for allegedly making remarks about Babar Azam. Many Pakistani media sources claim that Pakistani actor Nazish Jahangir is in the center of a social media storm following her remarks about T20 captain Babar Azam, which sparked controversy. The topic of discussion, said dunyanews.com, was Nazish Jahangir’s response to a fan’s question on her Instagram page about whether or not she would wed Babar Azam. “Mazraat hi karungi,” which roughly translates to “Will say sorry,” is what the report captioned a screenshot of her Instagram story.
Subsequently, the Pakistani actress faced trolling on social media, and according to Samaa.tv, she was forced to make her account private.
Following the social media response from the cricketer’s followers, the ‘Berukhi’ actor reportedly wrote in a story: “Babar bhai hum sab k bhai hain but un k fans MA dil khol k negativity phila rahy hain (Babar is like a brother to us but his fans are spreading negativity all across).” This was according to another report on arynews.tv.
On Tuesday night, the actor’s social media account was accessible to the public, but the aforementioned Instagram stories were absent.
Speaking of which, Babar Azam is now captaining Pakistan in a Twenty20 International series against New Zealand after being reinstalled as the team’s captain lately.
Mark Chapman struck an unbeaten 87 in the third Twenty20 International of the series to lead a weaker New Zealand side to an unexpected seven-wicket victory over Pakistan.
Amidst a much-maligned Pakistani bowling attack, the 29-year-old left-hander silenced a boisterous 16,000-person holiday crowd with his runs off 42 balls, anchoring New Zealand’s chase of a 179-run mark in 18.2 overs.
After the hosts were brought in to bat, Pakistan scored 178-4, mostly thanks to Shadab Khan (41) and Babar Azam (37).
Tim Seifert scored 21 off 16 and Tim Robinson smashed 28 off 19 balls to set the tone for New Zealand’s chase.
Before Chapman and Dean Foxcroft (31) grabbed control and produced a strong 117-run partnership at the third wicket to tie the five-match series at 1-1, New Zealand was already well positioned at 53-2 in the sixth over.
Both matches, which took place at Rawalpindi, ended with Pakistan winning by seven wickets in the second game and being defeated in the first after just two deliveries.
