India has fielded 84 athletes across 12 categories to the Paris Paralympics in 2024.
Satya Prakash Sangwan, vice president of the Paralympic Committee of India (PCI), was named chef de mission of India’s delegation to the 2018 Paris Paralympics on Tuesday. Sangwan brings almost a decade of dedicated dedication and experience to the Paralympic movement. As CDM, he will oversee India’s largest-ever team of 84 para-athletes competing in 12 sports disciplines. “It is a huge pleasure to be given this responsibility. “I am committed to ensuring that our athletes have everything they need to succeed and represent India proudly at the Paralympics,” said Sangwan.
“For more than a decade, Mr. Satya Prakash Sangwan has been a vital part of the Indian Paralympic Committee. His devotion and leadership have always served as sources of inspiration for our athletes.
“We are confident that under his guidance as Chef de Mission, our team will achieve great success at the Paris Paralympics 2024,” PCI President Devendra Jhajharia stated.
