Cricket supporters in India reacted enthusiastically to Pat Cummins’ social media reminder about the World Cup.
Pat Cummins, the captain of Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Australia, shared some of his “favourites” in a lighthearted “question and answer” session on Sunday. Cummins invited his followers to submit questions on Instagram, and he responded to a few of them. When a user questioned Cummins about his favorite memory from his time in India, the Australian responded by sharing a photo of the Australian team holding their sixth ICC Cricket World Cup trophy, which they won in November at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium by a margin of seven wickets.
At M Chinnaswamy Stadium, home of Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), Cummins-led SRH will play the latter team. With three victories and two defeats, SRH is in fifth place, while RCB, who has one victory and five losses, is at the bottom and is frantically looking for wins.
In the IPL 2024, SRH has so far excelled with their attacking style of cricket, particularly when they bat. Cummins’s captaincy strategies have also made an impression. He has taken six wickets at an average of 24.33 in five games, with the best statistics coming from 2/35.
