For the sixth time in their history, Pat Cummins’ team won the ODI World Cup with a decisive victory over the hosts, India. Cummins and the other squad members arrived home on Wednesday morning, but social media seemed perplexed by the lack of enthusiasm for the ODI world champions. Fans shared the images that went viral on social media and questioned why the Australian cricket players weren’t given the hero’s welcome they so richly deserved.

However, social media users were left perplexed when they saw how unremarkable the Australian stars’ welcome home was.
