Cricket Australia announced on Wednesday that Perth, Western Australia, will host the opening match of the five-Test Ashes series between Australia and England in 2025–2026. November 21–25, 2025 is the date of the first test, while December 4–8, 2025, is the day-night test at the Gabba in Brisbane.
The new Perth site, which replaced the old WACA ground, will host the first Ashes Test since 2017. Perth Stadium will become the ninth Australian venue to host an Ashes Test, a rivalry that stretches back to 1882.The Gabba in Brisbane, which has hosted the first Test of each Ashes series in Australia since 1986, will put on its floodlights for the second Test, which begins on December 4.
Joel Morrison, CA’s executive general manager of events and operations, stated that the schedule was posted early due to a “inundation” of travelling fans wishing to arrange flights and accommodations.

The first test will take place in Perth from November 21 to 25, 2025.
Second Test in Brisbane (day/night): December 4-8.
Third Test, Adelaide: December 17-21.
Fourth Test at Melbourne: December 26-30
Fifth test, Sydney, January 4-8, 2026.
