Prime Minister Modi is known to be a big fan of cricket and has often praised Indian cricketers for their performance on the field. In fact, he has even met with the Indian cricket team on several occasions to encourage and motivate them.
In one such instance, after the Indian cricket team won the 2019 ICC World Cup match against Pakistan, Modi took to Twitter to congratulate the team, saying, “Congratulations to the Indian Cricket Team for the splendid victory against Pakistan. You make the entire nation proud with your exemplary performance. Way to go!”
Modi has also praised individual Indian cricketers, such as Sachin Tendulkar, MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli, and many others for their contributions to the game of cricket and for their dedication to the country.
