Chief Mohsin Naqvi will preside over the strategic meeting to decide on Pakistan cricket’s future and captaincy.
The ceremony is slated for September 22 and will be presided over by PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi.
The meeting will bring together a number of significant figures, including Jason Gillespie and Gary Kirsten, the red and white ball head coaches.
Participants will include the heads of the international, domestic, and high-performance departments, as well as senior players, coaches, and PCB executives.
The “Connection Camp” will focus on future decisions based on the information gained during the session. One of the key topics of discussion is expected to be future leadership changes for the team.
The present leadership system, which includes the positions of white-ball captain Babar Azam and test captain Shan Masood, is being reviewed.
After being left out of the Champions One-Day Cup captaincy, Babar Azam’s status as the white-ball skipper has come under scrutiny.
This development raises the possibility that he would be replaced before Pakistan plays three T20 Internationals and three One-Day Internationals in Australia as part of their forthcoming tour.
Gary Kirsten had previously spoken with PCB officials about captaincy issues. He left the country in July after submitting a report.
For all three forms, Muhammad Rizwan’s name has been floated as a possible new captain; his candidacy will be taken into consideration during the meeting. The PCB wants to use the input from the “Connection Camp” to make well-informed decisions regarding the leadership positions within the team and the future course of Pakistan cricket.
