PSL Exhibition MATCH: The Quetta Gladiators vs Peshawar Zalmi T20 match has resumed after a brief halt due to a bomb blast at Musa Chowk in Quetta. According to several reports, crowd mismanagement at the Bugti Stadium was also a factor in the exhibition match’s abrupt halt. Black smoke can be seen rising outside the stadium in videos posted on the internet. It should be noted that some mischievous elements started the fire.
The explosion in Quetta happened near Police Line, which is about 4 kilometres away from Bugti Stadium. The blast was a very unfortunate incident, especially since security was on high alert due to a PSL exhibition match in Quetta.
According to emergency personnel, an explosion occurred near the Quetta Police Lines area on Sunday, injuring at least five people. Edhi employee Zeeshan Ahmed, who is in charge of the rescue effort on the scene, has transported the injured to the Civil Hospital in Quetta.
BLAST IN PAKISTAN
The Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), an outlawed organisation, claimed responsibility for the attack in a statement issued on Sunday. The explosive was said to be aimed at security personnel.
The explosion comes just days after a horrific suicide bombing in the Peshawar Police Lines region killed over 80 people, mostly police officers.
