Rahmanullah Gurbaz, the batsman and wicketkeeper for Afghanistan, made history on Monday by becoming the second-youngest player in history to reach eight ODI hundreds. In the game against Bangladesh, Gurbaz made history by defeating some of the game’s mainstays, including Virat Kohli, Sachin Tendulkar, and Babar Azam. In the third ODI of the series, which took place in Sharjah, Afghanistan defeated Bangladesh by 5 wickets thanks in large part to Gurbaz, who scored 101 runs off 120 balls.At the age of 22, Gurbaz dislodged Sachin Tendulkar from the second position with his eighth ODI century. Quinton de Kock, of South Africa, still holds the top rank after reaching the milestone at the age of 22 years and 312 days.
Tendulkar achieved his eighth ODI century at the age of 22 years and 357 days, whereas current Indian team batsman Kohli achieved the same feat at 23 years and 27 days. At the age of 23, 280 days, Babar Azam of Pakistan scored his eighth ODI century, placing him at number four.Gurbaz is the player with the most hundreds for Afghanistan in One-Day Internationals. After him comes Mohammad Shahzad (6). In the 50-over format, Gurbaz’s century on Monday was his third against Bangladesh and his third in Sharjah.
