Ravindra Jadeja missed the second Test of the series against England owing to a hamstring strain.
The leading all-rounder for India, Ravindra Jadeja, recently gave an update on his injury situation on social media after being forced to miss the second Test match against England because of a hamstring injury sustained during the first game in Hyderabad. There is still no word on whether Jadeja would play in the upcoming matches, even though the BCCI is about to reveal the team for the remaining Tests in the series. After suffering a hamstring injury, Jadeja has been using social media to interact with fans and keep them informed on his recuperation. In a recent Instagram picture, Jadeja seemed happy and wrote the succinct but comforting statement, “Getting better.”
The second Test between India and England saw outstanding performances from batsmen Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shubman Gill, who scored a double century and a century, respectively, while Jadeja recovered.
As the main ball-tormentor, Jasprit Bumrah finished with match numbers of 9/81 and helped India win decisively by 106 runs to even the series at 1-1.
The availability of important players like Jadeja and Rahul, as well as pacer Mohammed Shami, who hasn’t played since the 2023 World Cup, remains a concern despite the celebration of India’s victory. To make matters worse for India’s selection quandaries, there is still uncertainty around Virat Kohli’s possible involvement in the Test series.
